Rancho San Eric is only steps away from the rich biodiversity of the Sian Ka’an World Heritage Site. Therefore, in keeping with the philosophy of maintaining this beautiful location as pristine as when it was first discovered, each structure was designed with the intention of having as little impact as possible on its environment, while affording its inhabitants an intimate and idyllic lifestyle that is becoming increasingly difficult to realize in today’s technologically-driven world.

At Rancho San Eric, the homes are completely self-sufficient, featuring solar-powered energy systems together with back-up LP gas generators, ensuring electricity 24-hours a day. Structures also rely on a combination of rainwater, well water, and piped water systems, and natural black water filtration systems.
